was a challenging theme to complete. I wanted to do something that was fun and that I thought no one else would duplicate. I wanted to use nature to complete my project. Had it been summer, I would have liked to use all flowers, but it's barely spring and so I have to make due with what Mother Nature is providing!
Life, as I see it! Cathys365blog
Just a place to post my photography successes and failures because almost no one gets it right on the first try!
The adventure of life is to learn. The goal of life is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The secret of life is to dare. The beauty of life is to give. The joy of life is to love! ~William Ward

Change/Growth
was this week's theme. I knew, as soon as it was announced, what I wanted to do. It took some cooperation on Mother Nature's part to record this shot and some research on my part as well!

Lifestyle...
was the theme for my 52 week project. When I think of lifestyle photography I usually think about kids, young kids, parents playing with their kids. I had a hard time coming up with an idea I thought was feasible. I finally decided to do my lifestyle. The lifestyle of a mother whose children are raised, for the most part! The lifestyle of a mother who works, but enjoys her time doing things she likes way more often than she was able to while her children were small. The lifestyle of a person who likes to sit and enjoy the gorgeous, unseasonably warm weather we have been experiencing. I can't, though, sit and enjoy that weather with nothing to do, so I took a book I need to review outside with me whilst I sat in the sun!

Catching up, again!
Action-
I was out to Valley Forge with some photography friends of mine for this shot. It was President's Day weekend the Boy Scouts do a big encampment every year to commemorate Washington's troop's for their efforts during the war. This particular weekend was beautiful as far as February weather goes. Much better than most weekends that I remember my husband and sons spent camping, in tents, in February in that park! No snow. No rain. No way below freezing temperatures. Just a bit of wind and glorious blue skies. The American flag blowing in the wind caught my attention. I love the tattered little corner.Age-
For this week's shot I chose an image from the first newborn shoot I'd ever done. It's my great niece whose age was just 11 days in this shot.
Beginnings and endings-
To understand this week's image you'll need a sense of humor!
Flowers and Plants
I picked the theme for this week's shots. I knew I was headed to the Philadelphia Flower Show. The theme for the show was "Hawaii-The Islands of Aloha" I knew I'd have some awesome images when I returned and I was not disappointed! Here are just a few:

Dark
I took this as part of a challenge for a local camera club Facebook group. I'm not really local but they let me in anyway! The theme for this shot was "dark." This was taken about 4:30PM. It wasn't this dark but I played with the exposure in camera and then brought it up a tad in post processing.

Storyboards
For one of my 52 week projects the theme is storyboards. I have only attempted one storyboard and it didn't turn out too well. I use a different editing program now and this one was much easier. I hope to get more detailed the next time around but this one was a good start. The pictures are from Longwood Gardens at Christmas.

Home
For one of my 52 week projects, this week's theme is "home." Of course I procrastinated waited until Kevin was expected home for the weekend. When he comes home neither him nor his stuff usually makes it to his bedroom! He likes to sleep on my couch, much to my dismay! And for a weekend I won't complain too much because it's wonderful to have all my guys under the same roof!
Today Kevin was packing up to go back to school when I snapped this shot of home.
