The adventure of life is to learn. The goal of life is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The secret of life is to dare. The beauty of life is to give. The joy of life is to love! ~William Ward

The end of negative space...

and my negative attitude, I hope! I'm glad this theme is over. I'm just not feeling creative any more. I took one of these today and the other last week, upstate. I decided not to post the one from upstate at the beginning of the week, but pulled it out today when I couldn't come up with something I liked better. It was not for lack of trying either. I had my camera in my hands 5 different times today and took shots five different times.

I totally blew out the sky in this one but I love the flower, it's quickly becoming one of my favorites!

This is the view from Lynn and Gary's English Garden, looking out. It's way too centered both horizontally and vertically but I like it anyway!

Boring with a capital "B"

This is not what I hoped it would be but it's all I have! Empty space at it's best!

Sunday's Post

I missed it. So here it is!

Yesterday and today's posts!

I lost my internet yesterday afternoon, a problem I've been having off and on for a while. I originally thought it was my router but finally narrowed it down to a modem that was dropping the signal. Yesterday it dropped it and it never came back. Off I went to Best Buy to buy a new modem, I came home to install it and of course it wasn't easy. Nothing in this house ever is! Finally around 10:30 last night I got back online but by then didn't feel like taking a shot so I edited one from my trip to Hawaii. I got up early this morning and took a shot of the moon. I want a shot of the moon at night but for now, I'll settle for this one!

Memorial Day 2010

My first idea for today's shot was the American flag and nothing but sky. Instead it's a picture of our friend who is a retired Marine Sargeant at one of the three Memorial Day ceremonies that Kevin and I attended this morning. It's still the flag but it's flying at half staff since it was before noon.
