In a recent assignment from my "Understanding Exposure" book I had to take a picture of the same thing using the same settings at different times during the day. The only setting I could change was the shutter speed. I found out that light is actually a different color at different times during the day. In the morning it's cool and blue. Then it warms up during the afternoon and by early evening it's starting to cool off again. The first shot was about noon time on a sunny day. Notice the shadows. The second shot was about 6:30PM. See how blue it looks?
